I've designed and built a DIY MagSafe compatible levitating iPhone charger for under $10. The base is definitely too light, will add space for some nuts to make it heavier. The insides are some cheapo magnet array stickers from Aliexpress ( https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrL1ozH ), and the insides of an IKEA LIVBOJ wireless charger. (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/livboj-wireless-charger-black-90447058/ ) I've had a brass rod that has a 9.5 mm diameter. Printed in PETG, everything should nicely clip together. Should be an easy print, without supports.
