LILLABO toy train tracks have plastic connectors designed for compatibility with BRIO tracks. However, the fit is tight, so LILLABO tracks may not work with all third-party (inexpensive) tracks. The connector is 2mm longer than the original, allowing it to be compatible with most wooden train sets while offering looser connections. The length can also be customized for a tighter fit. The design is fully adjustable; modify the 'stud_length' variable in the SCAD file or use the Customizer to control connector length (the original IKEA piece measures 20mm). Four small nods on the larger end of the connector ensure it fits securely in the track. Adjust the 'nod_recess' variable to determine how deeply the nods are recessed, affecting their protrusion. These connectors can be made using 3D printing or cut from wood or MDF with a laser or router. Enjoy experimenting!
