Visitors at the Eindhoven Mini Maker Faire created fantastic designs for the Ikea Lampan lampshade, bringing their ideas to life as amazing 3D models. By drawing their designs on a piece of paper and interacting with an installation, they transformed their concepts into stunning three-dimensional creations. We can't wait to share these incredible drawings with you! So grab your own Ikea Lampan and get started with the hacking process right away! We used PLA filament for the lampshades, which is why we recommend using a LED or Energy Saving Lamp. Using an ordinary lamp could cause excessive heat, making the PLA filament become too pliable to work with. You can print your designs with or without the top of the lampshade. We also suggest utilizing the spiralize outer contour mode available in Cura for even more impressive results.
