Ikea features a versatile lamp called the Foto, which sparked my creative vision - utilizing it as a light modifier for a photography studio setup. In my professional studio, I rely on strobes from Jinbei and Walimex, both of which employ the Bowens standard bayonet mounting system. To adapt the Ikea lamp into an effective light modifier, I designed and crafted a flange that seamlessly integrates with the lamp's design. For those looking to replicate this DIY project, it's essential to carefully cut away the upper edge of the lamp using a jigsaw to create a smooth surface for attachment. The flange itself is securely fastened together with M6 screws, while a specialized M6 screw tab is used to thread the "Außenring" component into place.
