IKEA LACK Wall shelf desktop monitor stand feet
thingiverse
I wanted to repurpose an existing IKEA LACK wall shelf I had as a monitor stand for two monitors. Since no specific model existed, I created my own in SketchUp. The design is split into two pieces to accommodate the build plate restrictions of my Monoprice Maker Select V2 3D printer. This idea was inspired by Monitor Stand from krug's design. Here are the print settings used: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select V2 Rafts: Not necessary, as they don't matter in this case. Supports: Yes, highly advised for the dove tail joints. Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed at a layer height of 0.3mm for speed and accuracy was not a priority. Supports are essential to ensure the dove tail joints fit together smoothly. To print this design, you will need four "m" models and two "f" models, plus two shelf feet. After printing, some light sanding or trimming may be necessary on the joints to get them to fit properly, depending on how cleanly your supports come off.
