I made a spool holder for the Prusa to hold up to 4 spools of filament, since I have the MMU upgrade. The total weight could be up to 4 kg of filament plus the spools themselves and the hanger components. That's why I recommend using an enforced top instead of the cheap lack tabletop. Then you can screw it under the top and hang on the required filaments. Use the base sockets, guide a 530mm long aluminum or steel rod with 10mm diameter. The single hanger has two bearings within, 6000 type, and another short (130-135mm) rod to take the spool. There are three options for the sizes: normal, xxs and xl. * The normal one as shown in the photo * A small version that is short and has a minimal fillet * A larger version that would fit completely with the stock Prusa spool (I don't know if the Prusament spool is the same, but my old one was 200mm diameter and inner 50mm, width of 88mm), where the spool collides with the holder in the fillet. The load of 1kg let one of my first parts broke slightly. It became a small crack for some reason at the bearings end. So I wonder if it will work too and hold the weight or just smaller or mostly used spools. For the autorewind spool there are only 8mm rod and bearing. So I made another one: just an 8mm hole, two lock screws for the axle. Because the zip tie clamps the spring but the spring rotates on the axle I thought I better lock it. Choose what you like: lock the zip tie by screw or inside the printed part.
