IKEA Lack Leg Extension Bracket

IKEA Lack Leg Extension Bracket

This part lets you extend the legs of IKEA Lack tables while allowing you to use the included threaded screws. Note that the orientation of the parts is crucial. FDM prints often break along the layer, so it's recommended to orient them as shown. I acquired two used Lack Coffee Tables (90x55x45cm) and a Lack Side Table (55x55x45). My plan is to disassemble the side table and use its legs to elevate one of the coffee tables. This project is ongoing, but here is my approach: 1. Drill a smaller pilot hole under a leg to attach another leg using the stock threaded screws. These screws are quite robust on their own. Leave about 5mm space for the part to fit snugly. 2. Insert the printed part and secure it with six M3 (length TBD) screws, each accompanied by a washer per leg. This step requires some preparation: mark the location of the M3 screws on the legs using a pen or marker and drill smaller pilot holes for the M3 screws to enter.
