IKEA Lack Interlocking Filament Guide!
thingiverse
A versatile interlocking filament guide/grommet perfect for IKEA Lack tables! To create this essential accessory, you'll need a 14mm drill bit to precision-drill an opening through the table that precisely fits the filament guide. Utilize a low-speed setting on your drill as the bottom of the table is comprised of compressed cardboard and can easily tear out if not handled with care - the center also features a hollowed-out area with a cardboard grid that may cause the drill bit to waver off course. To achieve a smooth, clean cut through the table, apply clamps to secure scrap pieces of wood on top and bottom. Drilling through the wood will yield a precise opening for the filament guide. This design comes in two variations: Version 1 features a loose fit that requires adhesive to secure it into place, while Version 2 boasts a snug fit that can be easily secured using clamps. When printing this essential accessory, make sure to print with the largest circle on your print bed. Additionally, I've included a Fusion 360 file for editing and customization purposes.
