IKEA LACK Filament Guide, screw version PTFE compatible
thingiverse
UPDATE 2022/02/15: Added a compact model for the IKEA Platsa system with 30mm plate. UPDATE: Thanks to feedback from MakerMind, I updated the design to be parametric and uploaded a new version with 3.5mm inner diameter and 7.8 outer diameter as well as one with only 1.8mm inner diameter for direct filament feeding. I am building the Prusa IKEA LACK enclosure. The original design with only a central filament guide restricts usable print volume, since the filament gets severely bent when the extruder is near the top of the enclosure and moves along the X-axis. To overcome this limitation, I plan to upgrade to a slot guide in the future. This filament guide is designed to be securely fixed in place without adhesives, allowing for easy removal at a later point in time. The internal diameter of 3.5mm makes it compatible with 3mm PTFE tubes as used with filament dry-boxes like the MakerMind design. The photograph shows a prototype with 2mm bore and M4 thread, the final version has an M9 thread which makes it stronger and easier to print. Tighten carefully!
