Ikea Lack Encosure Mounting Dowel

I use Ikea Lack as a printer housing, just like this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2864118. However, installing accessories is a real challenge because screws don't hold well in the thin walls of the furniture. I've tried using cavity dowels, glued wooden dowels, and other methods, but nothing was really secure. That's why I created this mounting dowel, and it works incredibly well! Check out my other Ikea Lack project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3593427. Here's a step-by-step guide to installing the dowel: 1. Drill a 10mm hole that's 40mm deep; it doesn't matter how deep, just make sure it's 'air' in the furniture. 2. Press the part firmly into the hole and ensure it's vertical and flat. 3. Use the dowel as a guide to drill a 3mm hole or use an awl, Allen key, or something similar. 4. If you want, drill a small hole in the furniture about 5mm deep; just the first few millimeters will do. 5. Secure the dowel with a 4mm chipboard screw that's about 15mm long; don't over-tighten it or it'll break - the screw is only for extra security. 6. Use 5mm chipboard screws to attach your accessory. It works fantastically on my side!
