This will become a collection of things I designed and printed to build an enclosure for my Prusa i3. It's not finished yet, so I'll update this thing regularly. That's why I call it a draft. Goal ==================== The goal of this project is to create a printing enclosure for my original Prusa i3 based on the IKEA "Lack" table. The reason was that my printer is really loud and my neighbors freaked out several times, so the enclosure primarily needs to silence the printer sounds. Other requirements are: -------------------------------- * It should look nice. * LED enlightened (multicolor) lights need to be included. * Everything should be controllable remotely. * Print jobs should be monitorable by one or more cameras. * The enclosure should be extendable, including with printer extensions and add-ons. Sources ==================== I used some existing models and modified others: * I modified https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:931209 (bolder and cutouts for table mounts) as well as Filament_holder_2cm-filamentRack.stl. * I took cable holes from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1685857 (higher) and created cable_holes.stl. * I used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922740 (Raspberry Pi2 Mount). * I also used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:36465 (ba3a8f8b7c9ff968e175961e19c17242.STL). Own models ==================== These are the models I designed in my own for this project: * Table mounts for boomstick filament holder, including Filament_holder_2cm_mount-Cube_002.stl and Filament_holder_2cm_mount-Cube_003.stl. * End caps for Broomstick Filament Spool Rack, including caps_holder_tube_ends-caps-Sphere.stl. * Acrylic glass plates magnet mounts (Acrylic_Glass_Magnet_Mount.stl and Magnet_Mount.stl) to make two of the acrylic plates detachable.
