Ikea Lack Enclosure Filament pass through / guide
thingiverse
This is a straightforward two-piece filament guide designed for use with an Ikea Lack Enclosure. It requires a 10mm drill size, and the pieces simply screw together to create a flush and professional-looking filament guide. This allows the filament to pass smoothly through the lack table to the printer below when it's in an enclosure. The aperture of the guide is just a bit larger than 4mm, and you can hot glue a section of PTFE if desired for better performance. However, I personally do not use PTFE in my own setup. To ensure a clean and dust-free environment, I recommend installing a dust filter that butts up against the top filament guide to prevent dirt or grit from entering the enclosure with your filament. When installing this guide, it's highly recommended to apply some lubrication to the threads (PTFE or another suitable material) to prevent binding. This is especially important when using PLA, as it can bind under load and be very difficult to remove if not properly lubricated. www.voxel-design.com
