IKEA Lack Enclosure Creality Ender 3 / RGB LED Lights
thingiverse
Hello, I'm excited to show you my custom enclosure design for the Creality Ender 3 / RGB LED Lights. I was looking for a stylish and illuminated housing solution, but unfortunately, couldn't find one that met my requirements. That's why I decided to create my own. The case is very durable when printed with 60% infill using PETG. Each cube has an RGB light strip installed, and the cables are hidden inside the table leg cavities. The control panel is located underneath the table, where you can easily switch it on or off using a switch. The light strips in the printing area are also positioned over the table leg cavities. I designed the enclosure using three IKEA Lack tables - only one tabletop is required. I chose this design to provide a larger surface contact and additional stability when filament is applied, which reduces vibrations. To minimize heat and noise loss, I insulated the housing with insulation material on the inside walls, an MDF plate, and acrylic plate. You can find the enclosure handle here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:36465 This project isn't finished yet - additional files are still in progress, including a filament roll holder, dispenser, tool tray, and fire extinguisher holder.
