IKEA Lack Door handle and latch mount

Here's another Lack door handle. Designed to mount push button latches used in caravans, campers and boats. The latches have a positive locking action that doesn't snaplock, requiring manual pushing of the button to both lock and unlock it securely. You can buy these latches on Amazon or Ebay, where I got mine for a few bucks. They're cheaper on Ebay, but I didn't see the point in re-engineering one after taking it apart. https://www.amazon.co.uk/lzn-Button-cupboard-camper-handle/dp/B078YVZSYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533580845&sr=8-1&keywords=mini+push+button+lock The mounting holes in the handle are threaded M4 and about 12mm deep. The handle is designed to fit on 4mm acetate sheet, but thicker material can be used by unscrewing the release knob on its mount. Drilling jigs are provided to ensure accurate mounting of the handle and latch assembly to the door panel. One jig has a zero offset, which positions the edge of the handle and latch body in line with the edge of the door. The other jig has an 8mm offset, allowing the use of the strike plate included in the files. Instead of using the strike plate, you can carefully cut a rectangular hole in the Lack leg to accept the latch bolt. The drilling jigs are designed for a 2mm pilot drill. The centre of the latch bolt is in line with the centre hole of the group of three in the jig. The holes in the door need to be opened up - 20mm for the latch button and 4.5mm for the three mounting screw holes. The strike plate is positioned on the leg in alignment with the latch assembly. I left about 7mm vertical clearance between the bolt and the strike slot dimensions, but found it easier to set the strike position by slipping it over the latch bolt and closing the door to its desired position. I then marked through the screw holes on the leg and pilot drilled with a 1.5mm drill. The strike is secured with a pair of 4mm countersunk woodscrews to the frame (leg) of the enclosure. This handle is currently only suitable for mounting on the left hand side of the door, but I'll be publishing a Right handed version soon. Update: 09.08.18 - I've added the Right handed handle and they now have an identifier marked on the inside faces to avoid confusion. Please let me know if you have any issues or like the design. If anyone prints a Right handed version, could you please let me know if it was successful?
