IKEA Lack cabinet for 3D printer and other things or machines
thingiverse
I had the brilliant idea to build a custom cabinet for my 3D printer. The standard LACK table is too tall, so I needed to extend its legs using stacking feet from another LACK table. This resulted in a two-level cabinet: the printer on top and storage space below for filament and other supplies. To connect the tables together, I used a few connectors made from sheet metal or downloaded them from Thingiverse. To build this project, you'll need: * 2 hinges per picture frame to create doors * 4 edge caps to secure the sides and prevent the cabinet from opening I also used an IKEA LACK table and FISKBO picture frames in 50x70mm (also available in 40x50). Here are some color options for the frames: 50x70: 103.003.76 green 502.979.61 black 603.003.74 white 903.003.77 blue 302.979.62 pink 40x50: 403.003.89 green 502.956.55 black 003.003.86 white 203.003.85 blue 302.956.61 pink To add doors to the cabinet, you'll need to attach hinges and clips. I modified the click mechanism to make it less fragile, and both options are available for download. Print settings: Printer: Tevo Tarantula Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 35% Notes: Use rectilinear supports, as pillars can break away while printing if no brim is set.
