IKEA Lack cabinet Addon: Topcase with inner height of 430mm
thingiverse
I actually wanted to adjust the IKEA table just a bit higher and fit my Prusa i3 Mk2S with a Multi-Material upgrade under it. 430mm height is sufficient for thick fixed attachments, but at 200mm working height, it's too much resistance for Teflon hoses. So this idea is off the table for now. However, someone might like the idea of just adding a cover to the IKEA table. The feet are screwed into the table and have the corresponding contours on the outside for the Fiskbo picture frame. This 40x50cm small version is in use here. In the current configuration, it's planned that two swingable doors will be installed at the bottom of the display case, which can open once to the left and once to the right from a certain position, allowing access from both sides and front simultaneously. The other side walls are fixed in place. Because there needs to be space for a hinge where a hinge is set, the cover is naturally shorter there. I've moved the overall position of the top holders down, but the drill holes remain at the same location as if you were building the large display case from two 50x70cm tables. So here comes the drilling template again, and if you ever change your mind and want to build bigger, you can reuse the table on top and won't have any old holes left. You'll just need the corresponding different holders (or possibly hinges).
