This is a customization of the IKEA LACK box that I've modified to add an air extractor and a cooling fan. I've changed the bottom feet to make it easy to remove and insert the top box, as you can see in the pictures where the upper box has been removed. You don't need to take off the top box to access the printer - just pull out the front plexi with its handle. The dimensions are perfect for staying in place on its own. I made this enclosure for my Prusa i3 MK2, but it should work for other reprap models too. Edit: If you're printing tall objects (over 17cm), you'll find that IKEA feet aren't long enough. I've designed a taller version of the bottom feet supports to give more height to the enclosure - use these files: tall_support_plexi__lack_backbottom.stl. You'll need to measure the acrylic sheets accordingly. To assemble this enclosure, follow these steps: Use the support_plexi* files to build the structure and hold the plexiglass walls in place. For the bottom fan, I used a 12mm diameter PC fan (available on Amazon). To install the air extractor, put an 8mm fan (also available on Amazon) inside the air_extractor box. Replace the glass window with a plexi that has an 8mm diameter hole and a 10cm grid on the outside. I removed the display control and power supply from my printer to put them under the table - use wires.stl to pass wires through the table. The filament spool is on top of the table, using TheChrisP's convenient spool holder that I modified to be installed on the table instead of the printer's frame. Check out the photos for an idea of how this enclosure works and feel free to adapt it to your needs. If you need to do some maintenance on the printer, just pull out the top table with its plexi windows - it comes right off!
