Creating an ideal camera mount for my 3D printer enclosure and Prusa MK3 has been a challenging endeavor that has consumed much time. I have likely tried out ten different designs in pursuit of achieving a perfect blend of flexibility, stability, and space efficiency. Sneaks' articulating camera mount effectively addresses many of the features I was looking for; however, I chose not to attach it directly to my printer due to concerns over vibrations and noise. On the other hand, andersstou1's design for a super stable Lack mount provides an excellent range of motion while being neatly tucked away in the corner of my enclosure. I combined these two designs by merging Sneaks' link design with andersstou1's 8mm rod connector. This allows the full articulating mount to operate on an 8mm vertical rod attachment to the Lack table. I also modified the 8mm rod brackets into two versions: one features a reinforced M3 nut/bolt area for securing the bracket, while the other permits a fixed rod insert without adjustment. I printed all components in PETG for added durability; however, PLA will suffice. It is essential to note that you must print the link with supports due to its default orientation being necessary for creating a secure 8mm rod attachment. As I am currently in the midst of a two-day print job, I plan to post additional pictures showcasing the camera mount's versatility from various positions soon. The camera used in this setup is the Logitech C270, which has been modified with a mod that can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3087454. The lens kit used in conjunction with this mod is also accessible via this link. The articulating mount for the camera itself is a remix of Sneaks' original design.
