IKEA KNAPPA Lamp [base ring ONLY]

The Base Ring on our IKEA KNAPPA lamp got severely damaged and dried out over time, so I designed a replacement. With careful handling, this can be replaced without disassembling the entire lamp. I printed in PET-G due to its superior heat performance compared to PLA, but higher temperature filaments should work just as well. It's also recommended to use white filament for aesthetics and avoid dark colors to minimize heat absorption. The white PET-G I had was subpar, so I ended up using Prusa Orange (pics).\r\n\r\nI added 2mm X 4mm notches around the perimeter to the design after the initial print. I didn't realize how crucial they were for holding the lamp ribs, and had to cut into the initial print with a file. I did NOT reprint with the new perimeter notches to test the fit, but this published model represents what I ended up with after printing and post-processing. Buyer be aware.\r\n\r\nWARNING: Please take note of using a temperature-stable filament, as this piece is in extremely close proximity to a heat source (light bulb), and could pose a fire hazard if the filament softens or comes into contact with the bulb! Even LED bulbs can generate a significant amount of heat at the base, since the base often serves as a heat sink. IF THESE ARE RISKS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MODEL!!!
