I don't know what this system is called but it's older than a couple of years and it was created by IKEA, which means it's no longer available in stores, along with the hooks that were originally designed to work with it. Since I couldn't find any replacements, I decided to make my own, and I improved them just enough so they wouldn't fall off when you lift something off the hook. Source included.
