I crafted this custom housing since I wanted to draw attention to my printer and the Ikea Jansjo USB version caught my eye with its sleek design. To ensure a snug fit, I designed the housing deep enough to accommodate the actual plastic part of the USB plug securely. I salvaged an old broken 2-port USB charger, removed all components except for the two ports, and repurposed them in this project. Using Fusion 360, I created the case design from scratch and have included the file here so you can modify it to suit your needs as desired. To power the USB ports with a stable 5 volts, I employed a LM2596 buck converter. The on/off switch was an afterthought; I found it lying around my home and simply drilled a hole for it to fit seamlessly into place.
