Ikea Jansjo Lamp Shade
thingiverse
This shade is designed to slip perfectly onto the Ikea Jansjo lamp, positioning it just right for work without the harsh glare of the LED lens shining directly into my eyes - a common issue with most LED desk lamps I've used in the past. Since I started using this setup, I've noticed a significant reduction in eye fatigue, making it one of the most enjoyable 2 meters of filament I've ever printed. This design relies on a simple friction fit, where the taper of the lamp shade grips securely onto the outside of the lamp, forming a ball and socket joint that allows for adjustable positioning. This thoughtful design feature helps to prevent light from reflecting off the inside of the shade into my eyes, reducing eye strain and discomfort. Version 2 of this design takes it up a notch by lengthening the lamp shade by 1/8", which effectively recesses the LED lens even further within the cone of the shade. This subtle adjustment makes all the difference in creating a more comfortable and enjoyable working experience.
