We're bringing an open aquarium to life within Ikea's Ivar system. Our mischievous cats are now free to play with the fish and even take a sip of the water, all thanks to this custom-built terrace. As part of iteration #2, we've incorporated added stability features to ensure it withstands the test of time. Initially, we were using the same design without the stabilizing components, printed in PETG, for nearly two years - but our cats have grown, and so has their enthusiasm. The result? A slight bending of the terrace. The terrace measures 20x20cm and is securely attached to the stability connection on the Ivar frame. However, we want to caution you: Ikea's Ivar system may not be designed to handle rotational forces generated by using this custom terrace. To demonstrate its capabilities, we've included two images from Fusion, showcasing the contact force with a 5kg weight applied.
