Building a simple hanging rail from a cardboard tube is an easy DIY project that requires minimal materials and tools. Make sure the tube is securely fastened before moving on to the next step. Now, use your drill press or hand drill to create holes for the screws in the other end of the cardboard tube. Once you have made these holes, reattach the tube to the base plate, making sure it is level and secure. Finally, add any finishing touches, such as sanding down the edges of the wood or adding a coat of paint.
