IKEA Hook (customisable)
thingiverse
I liked the model made by adgaudio (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:49210) but I don't like using OpenSCAD. So I modelled it up in Onshape and made it so it's easy to make custom hooks by changing a few variables. **Things you can do** - Individually adjust the radius of each loop - Individually adjust the angle the tips stick out at - Individually adjust the length of each tip - Adjust the length of the central straight rod - Adjust the height of the model - Adjust the thickness of the model (which doesn't change the radius of the loops) **Directions** To customise the hook all you have to do is: - Make an Onshape account for free if you haven't already - Click on the link below - Click the blue "Make a copy to edit" button - Change the variables to customise the hook - Select Part 1 in the parts tab and then right-click the highlighted part and click export - Choose STL for the format, millimetres for the units, fine for the resolution and download for the options. - Click the "OK" button and save it in your downloads folder. **Notes** - If you measure the diameter of the rod you plan on hanging the hook on with callipers halve the value and that's the radius you use - If you used a measuring tape to find the circumference of the rod you plan on hanging the hook on, divide that value by 2pi and that's the radius you use - It's always a good idea to add a few mm to the radius you measured that way it's not a tight fit - You probably want 100% infill for strength Link to the Onshape document: https://bit.ly/3ohpr2o If you have any questions please comment and if enough people have similar questions or issues I might make a video running through it.
