I wanted to seamlessly integrate my IKEA Home Smart Tradfri on/off switch and dimmer next to my existing light switch, allowing me to effortlessly toggle between using the traditional switch or controlling it via the smart device. I have two distinct sets of lighting in my living room, so this setup will come in handy. To accomplish this, I replaced the cover of the regular switch with a custom version that accommodates three outlets, and this adapter perfectly fits inside the existing cover. The original IKEA metal mount is cleverly positioned within the adapter, ensuring that the magnet in the switch remains functional. What's more, you can easily remove the switch from its frame. The adapter itself was sourced from Praxis Ottowa Series frames, which are widely available at hardware stores across the Netherlands.
