Ikea hack: Mulig shelving unit proRoomba
thingiverse
Makit presents…our very first Ikea hack, turn the Mulig shelving unit proRoomba!\nHave you ever questioned why there is furniture that's not proRoomba?\nWhy bother with a Roomba if it can't cruise under our furniture?\nMy goal is to create a proRoomba home where my "personal assistant" (meaning roomba robot) can easily navigate under almost everything.\nI recently purchased an Ikea Mulig shelving unit and discovered that it needed 20mm extra clearance in order for the Roomba to fit underneath. So, I designed a simple leg modification that increases the height and makes my path completely clear! That’s it, my Roomba can now cruise down the shelves without any problem!\nIsn't it incredible?\nPrint Settings\nRafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.3\n \n Infill: \n 25\n \n Notes:\nThe key details of our printing settings include:\ • Printing time for each leg: approximately 1h\ • Layer height: 0.3mm\ • Print speed: Outer shell, 50mm/s; Inner supports, 20mm/s\ • Infill level: 25% (slightly higher than usual)\ • No support structures were required. \ • We used Cura 15.04.2 to handle the print job
