So, when I came across the sleek Ljusa charger from IKEA, an epiphany struck - hack this bad boy into a fully functional battery charger for my electronic devices. \nThe plan was a breeze to execute; it simply required ditching some unnecessary resistors and adding a beefy enough capacitor to handle the juice being fed by Ljusa's built-in dynamo. I cranked the output voltage up to 5 volts, popped in a shiny new USB port, and the real work began - modifying the exterior of this stylish little number. Out went the existing base plate, replaced by a newly minted, transparent one carved from filament using 3D printing magic, complete with an inviting cut-out just begging for my trusty USB plug to slide right in. \nThe result speaks for itself; those attached photos show off this impressive project in all its glory - quite a masterpiece if I do say so myself! From now on, when I need to power up, it's not a battery-charging dilemma, but merely a simple matter of getting this bad boy into some 'action'... at least for the duration of a single phone call.
