IKEA GUNDE chair fix
cults3d
These very inexpensive chairs from IKEA have a weak point on the part where you can grab them. It's the part that sees a lot of force when people lean back on them, and I've seen them broken all over the place, including the two I have. This is a very simple fix, put up more for the idea than anything else. All you need is two zip-ties and the small printed part that strengthens the back. Easy and cheap fix that avoids throwing out an otherwise perfectly fine chair. If you have bigger zip-ties, you might need to edit the FreeCAD file and make the holes bigger, I optimized this part for ~2.5 mm wide zip ties. Or you can just drill them out to be bigger. I'd recommend printing it in PETG or ABS if you're planning to use it outside, as PLA can easily melt on a hot sunny day, especially if the filament is dark, taking up more heat.
