IKEA Gommaren Shower Curtain Rod Support
thingiverse
The IKEA Gommaren shower curtain rod was designed to defy gravity, but in reality, it often bows under the weight of its heavy counterparts. Even better quality shower curtains take their toll, causing the rod to droop and sag over time. This design has one notable flaw - a lack of structural support. However, all is not lost for Gommaren users! By cleverly propping up one corner, the rod can be given the stability it needs. But don't stop there! Think outside the box (or container) like I did when I repurposed 1/2" wire trunking to create a makeshift support system. Who says all home decor items need to be purchased from IKEA's inventory? My unique bathroom setup serves as a testament to resourcefulness, but hopefully it will give you some inspiration if you find yourself facing the frustration of a sagging Gommaren. With a little creativity, even the most mundane problems can be turned into opportunities for DIY ingenuity!
