My First Design! Inspiration struck in the form of a remarkably affordable three-piece knife set from IKEA - the Forslag. Its affordability and decent quality made it an ideal starting point. I noticed that the set was sold without a knife block, which presented an opportunity to create one myself. To add a personal touch, I decided to incorporate the signature tri-star pattern found on the handles of the knives. This subtle design element adds a layer of sophistication to the overall appearance. By exposing the blades to air, moisture and bacteria are naturally minimized, ensuring a cleaner cutting experience. The end result is a simple yet functional knife block that meets my expectations. While there's certainly room for improvement, I'm pleased with it - at least for now!
