Ikea floating shelf bracket
thingiverse
This is a replacement wall mount for an IKEA floating shelf. Compatible with the Ikea Besta 17225 suspension rail, these brackets act as replacements for the parts with numbers 14149 and 14420. Different part numbers distinguish the left from the right bracket. Print Settings Printer: Maker Select V2.1 Rafts: No Matter Supports: None Infill: 50% Notes: Printed: 230 (can lower for layers after the first one) Bed at 75% Filament: Monoprice Select PLA Plus+ Premium 3D Filament, 1.75mm (Product ID#15828) I used a brim and recommend it. I applied diluted wood glue to help the part stick to the bed. Printing both brackets simultaneously works well for me. Print with the thin flat side up, and the thick side with the hole in it on the bed. If you print it flat (largest surface area on bed), you are more likely to encounter warping due to uneven cooling. How I Designed This I started by using one of each bracket from IKEA, both broken. After examining a non-broken version of the bracket, I took the basic design and over-engineered it excessively. Although I haven't performed calculations, I'm confident this design can support significantly more weight than the original brackets.
