IKEA Brogrund Laundry Basket Support System
prusaprinters
The IKEA Brogrund laundry basket is very practical but has the flaw of not being able to support the weight of heavy clothes very well: the fabric sags, and the weight risks dragging the entire bag with it.So, I created these clips that support an elastic band (leftover from Covid face shields...) and that should be placed underneath the bag.You need:Couples of printed clips “Clip IKEA Ver2”, an M4 screw for each clip (lenght of the screw is 20mm)M4 boltsElastic band, better if 2cm wide (0.8 inches). I printed the clips with no supports, with 0.3 height layers and they work fine.According to the elasticity of your elastic bands, you may want to use more that one elastic band for each couple of clips, in order to raise the strenght of the support. You can make holes in the elastic band stripes or you can use elastic bands with button holes, like these: If you don't have M4 screws and bots, or toleances are too tight for your printer, M3 screws and bolts also work perfectly.Four clips with three stripes of elastic band for each couple of clips was enough to secure my laundry basket.
