IKEA Algot Mounting Rail Guides
thingiverse
During a recent move, our IKEA Algot system suffered some losses. We misplaced several plastic components that are crucial for installation. These components serve as guides and hangers for the vertical struts, making adjustments a breeze. The metal bracket hidden within the plastic piece bears the main weight, while the plastic part prevents the strut from detaching from the horizontal guiderail. Given that this component is not subjected to intense forces, printing orientation appears to be less of an issue. We printed the part lying flat and standing upright with identical results. Both versions functioned flawlessly. If we were to print more of these parts, we would choose standing upright, as it yields a smoother curve on the curved sections. The pictures show both printed versions (grey) alongside the original part (white) for comparison purposes.
