Ikea 365+ drybox
thingiverse
This is a custom-made filament dry box constructed using an 11-litre 365+ box and lid from Ikea. I modified the flanges based on the design provided by hondaman5150 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:487789), giving it a slip-in fitting for hoses that can be extended to fit directly into your extruder, if desired. The cap was designed with the intention of pushing filament in so that it would draw out when removed. I created the spool rollers on my laser cutter as it is significantly faster than 3D printing. These rollers are made from 4.5mm or 3/16 acrylic and consist of a 25mm disc glued between two 32mm discs, providing each roller with guides on both sides. The disc holes measure 8.5 mm in diameter, and I used spare pencil crayons as the axles, which are held in place by the box while allowing the rollers to move freely for different widths of filament. To maintain humidity within the box, simply add desicant. This setup enables me to draw the filament straight from the box into my printer without having to relocate it.
