These are two models, an 'I love you positive' and 'I love you negative' file (in Dutch). The print in the picture is the negative one. If you print it for a coaster, I would suggest using the negative one because that one provides more stability for your glass or cup. How do we say 'I love you' in Dutch? It's "ik hou van jou". I made this coaster for my girlfriend; she's someone special. Do you have someone special in your life? Print it for a family member, like your mom, dad, brother, sister, boyfriend, or girlfriend. You'll make them very happy! Print it with one or multiple colors, using filament or resin, and show me what you've made (if you don't want to post a picture, that's okay). This is a standard coaster size (100 by 100 by 5 mm) to fit in my coaster holder: thingiverse.com/thing:3130397. I printed this model with a 0.2mm layer height and 18% infill using Ultimaker white PLA. I added a brim just to be sure. I designed the process like this: I picked a logo from my browser, saved it as an SVG file in Inkscape, opened it in Blender, and turned it into a 3D object. Then, I repaired the file in Meshmixer, erased some parts, and added a coaster. Next, I merged the coaster with the picture after scaling it. For the negative model, I used 123design to subtract the file from a drink-coaster. I saved it as an STL file and sliced it for printing. Even though the model still had issues after repairing it in Meshmixer, I decided to export it into Netfabb Online Service. I recently discovered this app after using MakePrintable, which only offers 3 procedures for fixing an STL file. With Netfabb Online Service, you can fix STL files with unlimited frequency, so my choice was clear. It worked well for me and allowed me to slice the model without problems.
