Symbolic figure of the Spanish Second Republic, Emilio Manescau Baccarelli sculptor, 1932. Monumental bust depicting the Spanish Second Republic as a matron with mural crown. The statue was intended to fulfill a representative function, probably in the City Hall. It was created in 1932 by sculptor Emilio Manescau Bacarelli while he was living on pension in Madrid. It was displayed in the capital and two reproductions were ordered for the presidency of the Republic and for the Ministry of War.
