I created this part because spare parts can't be sourced on the open market. My used iHome iH5B radio was missing a backrest for holding my 30-pin classic iPod. Notice how the pins of the part fit into the holes in the radio. The part does not resemble the original, it merely provides the same function: acting as a sloped backrest for your chucked-in iPod or iPhone. It's recommended to print this part with the largest surface facing down. The pins will build without support, but the top surface of the part will require some post-processing due to the need for additional support. I printed it successfully with Hatchbox Cool Gray PLA on an unheated bed at layer thicknesses of 0.2 and 0.15. However, I intend to try out extra-tough black Polymaker Polymax PLA at 0.15 or even 0.1 for the final part. This design was created using OpenSCAD and includes the script so you can easily adapt it to a similar application. It utilizes the open-source BOSL library for OpenSCAD, available on GitHub (https://github.com/revarbat/BOSL), so you will need to install BOSL if you want to use the script. All user-controllable dimensions are specified in variables and can be easily adjusted. Some minor geometric calculations are involved.
