I'm upgrading to top-quality IGUS RJMP 01-08 8mm bushings, ditching those cheap Chinese bearings I previously relied on. This upgrade will give me a Prusa I3 Y Axis mount that's second to none. The bushing holder was printed vertically for maximum strength, ensuring it can handle even the heaviest loads. The measurements for the hole are crystal-clear: 24mm x 18mm center-to-center. However, things didn't go exactly as planned when I uploaded a revised version and then printed the bushing holder. It turns out the nut traps were slightly elongated, and the hole for the bushing was a tad too small – not ideal by any stretch. Now, if you're planning to print this bad boy out yourself, here's what I can tell you: I used ABS with a .3mm layer height and three perimeters. This resulted in a beautifully printed piece that's ready to receive the bushing. To install it, simply press the bushing into place – it should fit snugly, giving you peace of mind as you work.
