Growing frustrated with my original carriage featuring four individual bushing holders due to the inability to mount bushings precisely, I experienced a significant increase in force required to push the carriage at high speeds, resulting in excessive friction. Additionally, I dislike working with springs and believe they are unnecessary. After gathering necessary SCAD parts, the modified design functioned well and has been in use for 25 hours, handling up to 250mm/s travel moves. To improve assembly, heat nuts and push them into holes to secure their position. Utilize a 5mm acrylic glass sheet between the carriage, spacers, and an eBay-purchased MK2 headbed with Ikea SÖRLI as a printing surface, requiring no leveling. Replace the previous rod clamps with thing:23015 for easier rod distance adjustments.
