Discovered in 1822 by Mrs Mary Mantell, Iguanodon lived about 135 million years ago during the early Cretaceous Period and was named for its tooth resemblance to a modern iguana. Fossils show it could grow up to 45 feet long, 16 feet tall, and possibly travel on two legs or all fours with speeds of around 12 miles per hour.
