iGrate, a stylish but unusable cheese grater
thingiverse
This is the iGrate, and it comes with its own stand that doesn't cost $999 unless perhaps it's printed in gold. Available in a full-size and smaller version. Not actually usable as a cheese grater, as verified by someone else who CNC'd it from steel—see the YouTube video in the gallery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s29YZqe9Cso. You wouldn't want to use a plastic cheese grater anyway… This is of course just silly and I mainly made this to get familiar with Blender 2.8. It did prove useful to expose a bug in Blender that can cause a crash when executing boolean operations involving many objects intersecting with the target object. This should be fixed in the final 2.8 release. The Blender files are attached, but you will need 2.8 or newer to open them.
With this file you will be able to print iGrate, a stylish but unusable cheese grater with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on iGrate, a stylish but unusable cheese grater.
