Ignis Fatuus
thingiverse
As I needed a small bunch of colorful lights, I made something to light up one color cycling LED diode with two AG13 batteries. And the results are here: * **Virvatuluke.stl** - My very first project was surprisingly ready to use right after printing. All it needs is cutting the diode's shorter leg 5 millimeters shorter and inserting it, short leg toward the center. Then bend that shorter leg down and insert batteries with the negative side facing the bent leg. * **Virvatuluke 2.stl** - This design was born with a little switch, making it more comfortable to turn off the LED. Unfortunately, when printed in PLA, it is quite fragile. ABS is recommended for this design. It is also 2 millimeters lower than its predecessor. * **Virvatuluke 3.stl** - I tried expanding the second design to use three battery cells, but it wasn't a good idea. The 4.5 volts are too much for the LED and shorten its lifetime at the price of brightness.
