Iglesia de San Felices (Uncastillo): Tímpano

The photogrammetric survey of the tympanum on the main entrance facade of the San Felices church in Uncastillo, a town in Zaragoza, features a low-relief sculpture depicting the martyrdom of the saint lying on the ground to the right with his hands clasped together in prayer. A servant is being dragged along by horses under the orders of an important figure seated on a throne who is being advised by the devil. An angel approaches the saint to alleviate his suffering or to take his soul to heaven. This Romanesque artwork was created towards the end of the 12th century.
