Can't afford a Mitutoyo? No problem, opt for the iGaging caliper instead - it's the next best thing. To save even more money, print out a depth base T-bar attachment. Place the base on a flat surface you know is reliable, ensuring the print hasn't warped after printing. If it has, apply gentle heat from a hairdryer or heat gun while keeping the base firmly in place on that flat surface. Go easy with the heat to avoid any damage. Press the base down and hold until it cools off completely. The base features threads for an M3 bolt, which securely fastens the caliper to the attachment.
