iFlight XL5 GoPro Mount (27°) with ND-Filter (40°&27°)
thingiverse
I designed two custom GoPro Mounts specifically for my iFlight XL5 Frame, both tailored to accommodate TBS ND-Filters seamlessly. Version 1 boasts a 40-degree angle, where the filter is snugly held by the GoPro itself, allowing you to simply slide your camera into place. However, I've always been concerned about direct contact between the filter and the GoPro's glass surface, fearing potential scratches. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why I initially chose such an aggressive angle - perhaps it was a moment of creative fervor? Anyway, I was able to adjust the angle with a hot air gun afterwards. Version 2 takes on a more practical approach with a 27-degree angle, incorporating an extra slot for the TBS-Filter. This clever design creates a safe buffer zone between the GoPro and filter, reducing the risk of scratches or damage. While inserting the filter is relatively straightforward, I've found that removing it can be a bit more challenging, depending on your specific TPU material used in the mount's construction.
