iFlight iX3 - VTX Antenna Mount v2
thingiverse
New and updated version with channels for antennas, set apart at 33 degrees. Previously I simply poked them through the frame top without a great spot for them. Now they have shielded channels to protect from motor strikes and a little stack you can use to shrink-tube the antennas in place. It won't work with all antennas so I'm only including it as an additional model. This piece provides a 20 degree back-angled mounting hole to screw on an SMA pigtail pushed up from below. As a bonus, it also provides a rear-facing flat-edge where I attached my LED strip and buzzer. For V2, I recommend carefully press-fitting in the vertical stabilizers with a small vice, being careful not to snap off the antenna towers. I pressed in each one, one at a time. Had to lightly sand the end on one of them to get it to insert enough to align it up on the vice. This frame is available here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H96PQWQ Although the frame appears to have a mounting hole on the top bracket, that is too small for SMA. Original version can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3588073 EDIT: I just added _V2 and _V3 versions. _V2 version has slightly thicker antenna channel guards for more rigidity when the antennas take a hit and to prevent getting tangled in turtle mode._V3 has even thicker channels with a larger diameter bore for thicker antenna leads.
