iFitness Charger Clasp
thingiverse
A family member's iFitness watch clasp broke, revealing a design flaw: two tiny plastic nubs that secured the clasp had snapped off their ears. To fix this, I redesigned the part using OnShape and strengthened the middle section where the tabs held the nubs. A hole was drilled through this section, and a custom pop-rivet shank was used to add metal support. Aluminum pop-rivets were chosen for their strength, but steel could also be used; however, a .080" diameter pin would be necessary if purchasing one off the shelf.
