IEC320/C14 Plug Mount for 40mm vslot Extrusion
thingiverse
This is a mount for an iec320/c14 socket and switch that can be found on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X74BUW8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The mount attaches to 4040 or 2040 v slot extrusion from openbuilds. To assemble the mount, follow these steps: 1) Cut out the .25mm support layer above the nut traps and insert the nuts into the traps. 2) Press the bottom surface onto a flat surface to seat the nut traps flush. 3) Run your wiring through the bottom hole and solder it to the tabs on the back of the connector. 4) Bend the wiring downward in the direction of the hole, then insert the iec320 plug into the mount. 5) Secure it with m3x45mm screws and washers. The bottom of the screw should be flush with or above the bottom surface of the part. 6) Use 4 m5x10mm screws and post assembly t-nuts to attach the entire assembly to your extrusion. Note: The bottom m3 screw runs through the cable out hole. This was not an issue for me, but it does provide a place to zip tie the wires for added support. If you prefer more space for thicker wires to exit, use a shorter screw and secure the nut and washer at the top surface of the hole. Changelog: 9/8/2016 - The mount was designed last night and printed. It appears to fit perfectly. Installation will take place today, with pictures to follow.
