Has the Shop Idiot pulled really hard on a locking IEC-type power connector until the entire connector has ripped out of the monstrously expensive equipment? Well, this Power Entry Repair Part can salvage equipment costing many thousands of dollars! In this case, the locking IEC Power Cord was far stronger than the IEC connector and the back panel of an extraordinarily expensive battery tester. As the Shop Idiot tugged on the cord without pressing the release button, the back panel finally gave way, damaging the connector as well as tearing out the area of the panel that retains the connector. This Repair Part extends past the damaged area and attaches to the panel away from the damaged area. A short 20mm and long 30mm version are included. Merely obtain a 2-bolt IEC connector of the appropriate type, some 2-sided VHB double-sided tape 2x 3mmx8mm flat heat bolts and 2x Voron-type 5x4x3mm Heatset Inserts. The VHB tape is incredibly strong and is commonly used to hold car body molding in place. One could also drill the Repair Part and damaged panel and use nuts and bolts. The Repair Part is best printed of ABS in an enclosed 3D printer. The material chosen should be high in strength, temperature resistance and electrical isolation. As this type of connector is generally used with Mains wiring which is high voltage, you may need certification to perform the wiring work.
